Thunder Valley Southern Shootouts (May 2-4) The Thunder Valley Southern Shootouts, which will offer a combined purse in excess of $50,000, takes place May 2-4. The race will include a 4.70 heads-up class and the exciting action fans have come to expect in Thunder Valley. Bracket racing is scheduled for all three days. Competitors will take aim on amazing purses, including $10,000 to win on Saturday. With big money and exciting races, these gunslingers will come to town ready for a battle. Pro Mod Challenge (Jul. 19-20)
Slated for July 19-20 is the Bristol Pro Mod Challenge. Bracket racers will be able to take to the track both days in an attempt to claim the top prize. On July 19, the Pro Mod Challenge will play host to a field of thrilling pro-modified racers that will put on a show like you won't believe. The 4.70 heads-up class makes another appearance during Sunday's action. Brawl In Bristol (July 26-27)
The Brawl in Bristol, scheduled for July 26-27, features bracket competition with intense action as competitors will be locked in heated battles to become king of the Valley. All categories will duke it out to take home the money in this bracket event. Blast from the Past at Thunder Valley (Sept. 6-7)
The glory days of drag racing return when nostalgia cars roll into Bristol Sept. 6-7. The Blast from the Past at Thunder Valley will feature racing machines from days gone by, plus a car show open to all makes and years. Bracket racing is added to this event to make it one for the history books. Bristol Bracket Blowout (Sept. 13-14)
The Bristol Bracket Blowout will end the bracket schedule in style with a racer appreciation celebration to thank competitors for their support during the year. The Sept. 13-14 Bracket Blowout includes a regular bracket event and a mulligan race. In the mulligan race, drivers can purchase a mulligan at the gate and use it to re-enter the race after a loss during any round of eliminations. *Results from these events will be used to determine which drivers qualify for the Oct. 9-11 NHRA Division II Summit ET Finals at Atlanta Dragway. Results from 2008 Junior Dragster events will determine which racers attend the Division II Junior Dragster Championships at South Georgia Motorsports Park on Oct. 16-18.
