The Kumho Street Warriorz event is open to all street-legal vehicles.

If you're in to cars, the Street Warriorz event at Bristol Dragway on June 7 needs to be circled on your calendar.

Ever wondered what it's like to attack the legendary Bristol quarter-mile, but you're not sure exactly how to make it happen? Don't sweat it. Anybody can learn and have a great time in the process.. It's the perfect way to challenge your friends for bragging rights with no pressure atttached!

Street Warriorz is a street-legal drag racing event, similar to Street Fights, and is open to anyone with a street-legal car, truck or motorcycle that passes tech inspection. If you have the need for speed, come out and burn rubber on the same track where drag racing superstars like John and Ashley Force, Tony Schumacher and Brandon Bernstein race to see if you're up to the challenge.

The action doesn't end on the track though as the Street Warriorz series is a giant one-night-only party that features heads-up drag racing for the hottest cars and bikes on the street, and includes a Smoky Burnout Contest,  Ugliest Car Contest, and a Car Cram. A live D.J. will be part of the mix to keep the party going all night, and a swimsuit contest for all the ladies will have the gentlemen in the house on the edge of their seats.

The Outlaw SPL portion of the show is one of the most explosive new creations on the circuit.  This car stereo competition proves the organization's reputation of "breaking glass and taking names."

Also, a full car show promises to bring a wide range of vehicles to Thunder Valley. The car show classes include cars, mini trucks, mini SUVs, full-size trucks, and even vans. The Street Warriorz is not an import-only series. Owners of all makes, models, and years of tricked out street cars, trucks, and bikes are welcome to show off their rides.

Gates open at 4:00 p.m. Admission is only $15.

Bristol Dragway's Street Fights kicks off the street-legal action this week with Army Night slated for Thursday, June 5. Show your support for our military personnel and receive $1 off at the gate by wearing your camo gear.

The Charter Bandits, the quickest street-legal cars in the region, highlight the evening's activities. The Bandits race heads-up to determine who reigns in Thunder Valley.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for spectators and only $10 to race.
